Seasonal Sundays (Week 26) Blueberries, Baby!

Happy Father's Day to all ... and let's hope all the dads, grandpas, uncles, teachers and all who "father" like blueberries because I aim to turn tongues blue with an almost-all blueberry edition from coffee cake (two!) to pie (two!) to ... a few savory surprises!
Seasonal Sundays ♥ KitchenParade.com, a seasonal collection of recipes and life ideas in and out of the kitchen.

Welcome to Seasonal Sundays ...

Any fellow blueberry pickers here? As kids, we'd be dragged into the bush to pick blueberries, plastic ice cream buckets in hand, admonitions to "pick clean" and keep a watchful eye for bears. We emerged from the scrub with scratched legs and mosquito bites and literally buckets of blueberries, all "free" save all the time and effort and itchiness. Now ... my blueberries arrive in tubs from Sam's Club but someplace, somewhere, somebody picks them, clean too, and I am grateful for blueberries at all.

Let the season begin ...
